Terracon Geotechnique, founded in 1983, is a multi-disciplinary consulting company with 150 employees serving the mining industry and the Athabasca Oils Sands region in Northern Alberta from its administrative offices in Calgary and a branch office and soils and concrete testing laboratory facility in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Terracon provides consulting services in the disciplines of Geotechnical, Mine, Civil, Environmental Engineering, Geology and Hydrogeology. Typical assignments include design and project management as part of resource development, groundwater quality and supply, groundwater control, slope stability, waste disposal, instrumentation, monitoring, and environmental assessments.
